Acoustic Insulation with a False Ceiling

In this project, the client was struggling with constant noise from upstairs neighbors and was looking for a fast, affordable solution to improve acoustic comfort – without major renovations. Since the ceiling had a standard height and no structural changes were needed, we recommended installing a false ceiling with integrated acoustic insulation. This solution was chosen for its immediate impact, clean finish, and ease of execution. By creating a suspended ceiling and applying high-density mineral wool inside, we were able to significantly reduce both airborne and impact noise from the floor above. The result: a visibly quieter and more comfortable space, completed in just a few days with no structural work required.

Blown-In Insulation for Cavity Walls – Interior and Exterior

In this portfolio example, we worked on two homes facing the same issue: uninsulated double masonry walls – one of the leading causes of heat loss in Portuguese buildings. In one of the homes, we performed the insulation from the outside, carefully drilling small access holes through the painted exterior render, which were later sealed and repainted without leaving a trace. In the second case, we applied the same blown-in method from the interior, creating discreet access points inside the home – ideal when external work is not practical or permitted. In both cases, the clients now enjoy improved thermal comfort and lower energy bills, thanks to a fast, clean, and flexible solution adapted to each building’s structure.

False Wall with Thermal and Acoustic Insulation

In this project, the client wanted to improve both thermal comfort and reduce exterior noise, without major renovations or changing the building façade. The room in question had a north-facing exterior wall, which was consistently cold in winter and exposed to traffic noise. We proposed building a false interior wall with integrated insulation – a solution that allowed us to create a new insulating layer between the existing wall and the living space, without compromising the building structure or appearance. We installed a lightweight frame with high-density mineral wool, followed by plasterboard panels ready to paint. This system was chosen for its thermal and acoustic performance, fast installation, and clean finish.

False Wall with Gypcork – Acoustic & Thermal Upgrade

In this project, the client was dealing with constant barking from a neighbor’s dog, transmitted through a shared wall, and needed an effective and discreet solution – without major construction. We recommended building a false interior wall with Gypcork panels – a natural, breathable combination of plasterboard and expanded cork. This solution was chosen not only for its excellent acoustic performance against mid- and high-frequency noise, but also for its thermal insulation properties. By installing the Gypcork wall directly on the interior, we reduced both noise intrusion and heat loss in a single, quick intervention. The result: a quieter, warmer, and more comfortable room, delivered with minimal disruption and maximum impact.

Soft Attic Insulation with Volcalis Mineral Wool

In this project, the client was looking for a quick and affordable way to improve indoor thermal comfort – with immediate results. Since the attic was not used as a living space, we had the opportunity to insulate the entire attic floor without restrictions. We installed Volcalis Easy Rolo, a high-performance mineral wool with an integrated vapor barrier, ideal for walkable but unused attics. This approach provided excellent thermal insulation with minimal disruption, helping the client reduce energy loss and increase comfort in the rooms below – all in just a few hours.
