🌿 What Is Expanded Cork (ICB)?

Expanded cork, or Insulation Cork Board (ICB), is made from granulated cork that’s heated using steam. During this process, the cork naturally releases suberin, a resin that binds the granules together without any added glue or chemicals.

This means:

Product: Amorim Expanded Granulate Cork

Used in dry systems or specific zones where blown-in mineral wool isn't suitable, cork granules create a natural insulating layer that improves thermal and sound performance.

Gypcork is a plasterboard + cork composite, ideal for interior insulation in renovations or new builds. It combines expanded cork insulation with high-quality gypsum panels in one ready-to-install product.

Perfect for:
